We’re Rhubarb & Lemon.
Two guys brought together in Bristol to sell high-quality one-of-a-kind vintage clothing.
The Rhubarb in this equation comes with from an entrepreneurial Bristol graduate with a passion for vintage style. Despite his young age, Rhubarb already has a number of years in the industry in which time he has gained an expert knowledge and understanding of vintage fashion and sourcing the finest clothing available in weird and wonderful ways!
When he’s not dealing with exclusive suppliers he can be found bossing the 5-a-side pitches or sinking some craft beers.
Mr Lemon’s background is a much more corporate affair with over 10 years experience working in senior marketing roles for companies such as Ralph Lauren and Marks & Spencer, before setting his eyes on this venture. There isn’t too much the Mr Lemon isn’t familiar with when it comes to Digital Marketing and this is where he uses his skills to make sure that everything is running smoothly on the website.
When he’s not knee-deep in excel you can find him lumbering around a five-a-side pitch or scrambling around after his 2 young kids.
Rhubarb & Lemon are neighbours in Bristol and bonded over talking through many business ideas. They felt that their passion for vintage clothing and business meant that working together to provide people with individually sourced, premium vintage clothing was their calling!
Rhubarb & Lemon started with the objective of providing unique vintage garments that allow their customers to create their own individual style. We are enjoying the steps being taken to achieve this, and look forward to the many more steps along the way.
“It is our collective and individual responsibility … to preserve and tend to the world in which we all live.” —Dalai Lama
The fashion industry is the second largest polluter in the world, after oil. This is a staggering fact! We believe that it’s the responsibility of each individual to do their bit to help save our beautiful planet. Buying vintage clothing is one great way to help. Second-hand clothing helps decrease the pollution caused by the manufacturing of new garments, as well as drastically reducing landfill waste created by clothing being unnecessarily discarded of.
We also use 100% recyclable brown paper packaging. As simple as this seems, it is surprisingly uncommon within ecommerce – with most companies choosing the cheaper option of polythene mailing bags.
We welcome you and hope that you enjoy your visit at Rhubarb & Lemon.
